日本に広く分布し、近年、ヨーロッパや韓国からも記録されている。多食性で様々な植物に見られ、トマト黄化えそウイルスのベクターとしても知られる。

This species is widespread in Japan and has recently also been recorded from Europa and South Korea. It is polyphagous and occurs on many plant species. It is known as a vector of Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV).
